And U-19 world cup winning captain , Indian cricket couldn’t have asked a better vice captain than him. of course, people questioned about him being choosen ahead of gautam gambhir but i say Indian selectors have finally done something really sensible.lets face the fact , its very uncertain of Dhoni leading the team in the longer format for much longer and he himself has expressed doubts over his future in cricket and coming to gambhir, he is 32 years of age, a little bit old for becoming a future captain. so what selectors are looking for is a young energetic leader who can lead the team team for a long time prospect after Dhoni steps down, where of course Kohli is a frontrunner, taking india to U-19 world cup win , and also leading his franchisee RCB for a few matches and being victorous makes him a bright prospect as for being the future captain.
Kohli being the best player for India in recent times makes this selection even more reasonable. Him being choosen as a vice-captain can be seen nothing but as a very bright way forward for Indian cricket.
